Javier's Journey with ASD
Diagnosed with non-verbal , high needs Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of 2, Javier and his family encountered numerous challenges that no family is ever truly prepared to face. The scarcity of information within the Hispanic community was a major hurdle for them. Now 19, Javier, together with his family, aims to make a positive impact on society. Despite his naturally sociable nature, the community's lack of information and empathy poses challenges for him.
Family Background
Javier's parents and caregivers come from Chihuahua, Mexico. Their aspiration is to educate enough people and increase ASD awareness to build a better future for those within the ASD community all around the world. Javier's parents are dedicated to making the change happen. Valeria Zapata stepmom and main caregiver is our Founder & CEO while dad Francisco Lopez serves as the treasurer.
